Developed in partnership with Mura Training. An Aboriginal owned and operated organisation dedicated to empowering communities through culturally responsive training, education, and consultancy.

This course explores how culture influences behaviours and communication. You’ll learn cross-cultural skills to adapt communication and services effectively, and leave with a deeper understanding of how openness, curiosity, and flexibility strengthen connections and support inclusive, respectful housing services.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Recognise how culture shapes values, identity, and communication styles.
• Apply culturally safe and respectful approaches when engaging with people.
• Identify key considerations in communication to avoid assumptions and build trust.
• Adapt your communication and services to work effectively across cultural differences.
